School Assistant Call


In the name of the Triune God and by his authority, we ask you to assume this service for Christ as part of the mission and public ministry of this church and to perform faithfully for the growth of God’s Kingdom among us.

As a school assistant you are called to:
  1. Prepare yourself for service by completing assistant certification steps and attending a training organizational meeting.
  2. Be faithful in the personal use of the means of grace in word and sacrament.
  3. Live a sanctified life in keeping with God’s Word as his redeemed child.
  4. Be concerned about the faith and life of the young people under your care and nurture their growth in Christ.

We pray God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to convince you by his Holy Spirit that this call comes from the Lord himself; to move you to accept this call to service; and to bless your service to the glory of God’s holy name, the advancement of his kingdom, and the welfare of his people in your church, school, and community.

By acceptance of this call, you are also certifying that you have not been personally involved in any incidents of child molestation, child abuse, sexual misconduct, exploitation or harassment in this or any other states in the past. In addition, your acceptance of this call grants Calvary Lutheran Church and School the right to conduct a criminal background check.

If you have been involved in any incident as described above, please discuss the circumstances surrounding it with one of our pastors prior to acceptance of this call to serve. It is our desire to serve your spiritual needs as well as the spiritual needs of our students. Any information gained through criminal background checks will be kept confidential and background-check files will be securely stored.
